LiveSub is designed with privacy as a core principle. All processing happens entirely on your device — no data is ever transmitted to external servers or third parties.
Nothing. LiveSub does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, audio recordings, or transcripts. There are no user accounts, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
LiveSub requests access to your microphone solely to perform real-time speech recognition. Audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech Recognition framework and is never saved or sent anywhere by the app. LiveSub does not record audio. The microphone is used only as a live input stream — speech is converted to text in real time and the audio itself is immediately discarded. Only the resulting text transcript is retained on your device, and only if you choose to save it.
LiveSub uses Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework (iOS 26+). All recognition is performed locally. No audio leaves your device.
Translation is performed using Apple's on-device Translation framework. All translation is performed locally. No text leaves your device.
Transcripts saved by LiveSub are stored in your device's local Documents folder. They are accessible only to you. LiveSub does not have access to these files outside of what you explicitly share using the system Share sheet.
LiveSub does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools.
LiveSub does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
